Be careful plugging this address into a mapping service online, as it does not always point to the correct location. In Google Maps, Nardini Manor is labeled as "Wrublik Rodger".

The easiest route to get to Nardini Manor is to take the I-10 interstate west to exit 121, Jackrabbit Trail (also known as 195th Avenue), then head left (south) on Jackrabbit 4.7 miles. The manor is on the left (east), just past some train tracks. As you approach from the north, a grove of trees hides the view of the house until you are right on top of it, so watch carefully as you approach.

The turn into the parking area is a sharp turn (about 120 degrees) off the road just north of the main gate, and just to the right (south) of a canal. The parking entrance is located on the north side of the property. Please be aware of runners on the course! Plan to give yourself enough time to park and set up your supplies.

Race Schedule

There will be a brief race meeting approximately 15 minutes before the start of each race to announce any last minute information.

Timing
We will be utilizing a chip timing system at this event. You will be provided with a timing chip, called the GoLoop, to attach to your shoe for the race. It is important to not bend, crease, or fold the GoLoop to insure your laps are read. If you plan to wear gaiters, do not place them over the timing chip. When you complete your race, please return the GoLoop as it will be reused in other races. Please review the following instructions for attaching the GoLoop:
GoLoop Instructions

You may leave the track at any point in time during the race, but you must return to the same place before continuing. You may not leave and return directly by the timing equipment, to avoid double counting a lap. Every 2 hours we will change the direction of travel. Your number of laps, distance, and race will be shown on an electronic display near the start. For reference, the marathon is 85 laps, the 50 mile is 161 laps, the 100km is 200 laps, and the 100 mile is 322 laps.

Weather
Current forecasts put the high at a toasty 107 during the day and a low of 81 at night. Expect to drink lots!

Personal Space
We will have some tables and chairs available for runners to share. There is also space available to set up your own tables and chairs, blankets, or tents.

Aid Station
We will have a fully stocked aid station throughout the event with water, electrolyte drinks, and food. We will also have plenty of ice, misters, and the like to help you stay cool. Please bring your own bottle to help us cut back on the amount of cups we use.

Race Course
As the course is a 500 meter loop, you will be spending a great deal of time with your fellow runners. The 100 mile runners will run through the heat of the day before being joined by everyone else starting at night, and will likely show it. Please be courteous and encouraging, and aware of the other runners around you. If you choose to wear headphones or converse with other runners during the race, we ask that you leave adequate room on the track for other runners to pass if needed.

This race is a fully supported event at Nardini Manor, the site of Across the Years. The course is a 500 meter certified dirt track. Laps will be recorded by an electronic chip timing system and will be submitted for USATF record purposes.

All runs will be night runs, besides the 100 mile which will start in the day. Highs for the day average 104° in early September in the afternoon, so be prepared for the heat! Nighttime temperatures average a low of 70° at this time of year. Start times are as follows:
RaceStart Time
100 Mile6 AM
100 KM6 PM
50 Mile7 PM
Marathon8 PM
All runs end at 12:00 Noon on Sunday, September 5. (30 hour cutoff for 100 miles)

Entry fees are as follows:
RaceCost By 7/31Cost By 8/28Cost After 8/28
100 Mile$70$80$100
100 KM$50$60$75
50 Mile$40$50$65
Marathon$30$40$50
Entry fee includes a race shirt. Finisher awards will be given for all distances. Note that because the track is exactly 500 meters, the 100 mile, 50 mile, and marathon are slightly long.

Racers are eligible to "drop down" into a shorter race. If you drop out before finishing the distance you registered for, you will be included in the results for the furthest race distance you completed.

Full aid will be provided for this run, including water, electrolyte drink, a spread of standard ultra foods, cold stuff during the day and hot food at night. The run will begin at 6 AM and will continue until noon the following day. Although the noon cutoff is designed with the 100 mile and 100k in mind, there are no hard cutoffs for the other distances before this. There is room available to set up personal supplies (chair, coolers, etc.) around the track on a first-come, first-served basis.

We have an arrangement with the Best Western Phoenix Goodyear to provide a group rate of $69 a night. This rate is available until August 8. This hotel is approximately 20 minutes from Nardini Manor. Their website can be found here:

Course:
The race route is a USATF-certified 500-meter running path around the perimeter of the manor, that Rodger Wrublik built in 2003. The track averages eight feet in width, and the surface is mostly well-packed crushed gravel, ideal for running. Gaiters are recommended. There are permanent restrooms and a shower on site.
