As we put 2017 to bed and with our fall series already in the books, it’s a good time to check in on the DRT Series standings before we kick off our Spring Series this Saturday at San Tan. So, let’s see how you speedsters are doing so far!
If you haven’t already heard, we’ve added awards to our Quail (short) and Roadrunner (middle) Series for the first time which will keep a lot more runners in the mix as we near the championship at Mesquite Canyon on March 17th. Also unique to this series challenge is the Master’s awards that goes to the top runners 40 years (young) or older.
Additionally, we will add in a Junior’s division that will award the top runners in the Quail and Roadrunner distances! This will include anyone age 17 years old and younger. So get your kid out on these gorgeous trails and let’s see them up on that podium!
And while we’re at it, we’re bringing in a Grand Master’s Division (60 years or older) for the Quail, Roadrunner and Owl Series that will award the overall point collector in their respective distances for the men and women!
Remember, our final standings will take your top 3 scores and throw out the rest. So, if you’ve already run the fall series with us, you can only improve your score if you place higher at one of our spring races. Also, for the runners that are leading both the overall and Master’s Divisions, they will be awarded as the overall winner only and the next Master’s division leaders will move up in the rankings provided they have finished at least two races throughout the series.
