“Peaks Week” is our way of celebrating the Golden Trail World Series coming to Flagstaff Sky Peaks.
Kicking off on Monday, September 19th we’ll be starting the week with a Social Sharing Contest, so keep an eye on @FlagstaffSkyPeaks on Instagram. Participants are encouraged to share a photo of their favorite peak for their chance to win prizes. Winners will be selected at random.
Next, we’ll be hosting a Virtual Trivia Night the following day on Tuesday, the 20th so you can join in the fun from anywhere!
On Wednesday the 21st we’ll be hosting our first group run of the week with Will for for Beer at 5:30 PM, starting from the Posse Ramada in the Fort Tuthill County Park. Feel free to hang out with us afterwards for some post-run refreshments.
The Peaks Week Happy Hour sponsored by Kahtoola will be taking place at Historic Brewing on Thursday Sept. 22nd from 6-8 PM!
Friday the 23rd, the day before the 50 Mile, 50K and 10 we’ll be doing a 9 AM Group Shakeout with Photo Opportunities. We will meet at the lower Snowbowl Parking Lot near Aspen Corner and will go for a short 2-5 mile shakeout run on the Arizona Trail. Aravaipa will have a photographer out to snap photos in the beautiful Aspen Groves that we will then give to anyone who participates for free. Afterwards, you’ll want to head over to Heritage Square from 3-7 PM for the Race Expo & Packet Pick-up.
The Golden Trail World Series 26K race kicks off Sunday, the 25th at 7:30 AM.
Sunday evening, join us at the the Orpheum Theatre for the Aravaipa Film Festival Presented by Salomon! Show Us The Ropes, a film presented by Kahtoola will be one of the featured films at the festival which will be headlined by Aravaipa’s The Long Way Home a film on Flagstaff local Eric Senseman’s 2022 Cocodona 250 adventure. Doors Open at 3:30 PM and you can purchase your tickets in advance here. $2 from every ticket sold to the event will be donated to Girls on the Run Northern Arizona!
