One way to ensure successful navigation of our courses is to be familiar with the route. With the advancement of technology, most smart phones are capable of loading the GPS files we provide to help keep you on course. Below are some suggestions to prepare your smartphone for race day.
General Advice
1. To help your battery last the entirety of the race, turn off any non-critical features that use battery. Turn your phone to Airplane mode and make sure the 4g, 3g, and cellular connections are off. Ensure WiFi, Bluetooth, and any other wireless connections are off. Only leave the GPS signal on to track your position.
2. Load the provided course map onto your phone, which will provide information on the direction of travel and number of loops that may not be obvious from the GPX file.
