DAWN BREAKER = 106K CHALLENGE
RUSH INTO THE NIGHT
Get your blood racing as you step into the night for our second annual Adrenaline Virtual Night Run. The second event in the Virtual Insomniac Series, Adrenaline Virtual gives runners the opportunity to connect world wide as they run the night. This after dark adventure allows you to re-discover your neighborhood, your town, or your trails under a twilight hue. Choose one of five distances offered or take the ultra challenge and run all distances for the Adrenaline Dawn Breaker 106K (details below).

The Adrenaline Virtual Night Run is part of the Virtual Insomniac Series, inspiring runners from around the world to come together and shed a little light into the night. Short and Sweet Headlines are Best!
The Adrenaline Virtual Night Run is inspired by the annual Adrenaline Night Run hosted in the McDowell Mountain Regional Park in Fountain Hills, Arizona. We love our regional parks and want to continue to show them our support during this time of isolation and social distancing.
To help promote one of our favorite Maricopa Parks, we are offering participants a glimpse of the Adrenaline race course through our new interactive video venture; an Insomniac Trail Series simulation designed to takes viewers on a virtual tour of the park at night. These virtual run videos allow participants to run along with our hosts as they feature each distance offered in the Adrenaline Night Race lineup. Watch as you put in the miles as home on the treadmill or view for inspiration before your own night adventure!
To further our commitment to our local parks, a portion of each entry will be donated directly to the Maricopa Parks & Recreation Department to help offset the loss of revenue experienced by the park due to cancelled events. Become a virtual steward of the trails and help us in our efforts to proudly support our parks.

Register by May 2nd to ensure your swag bag ships before the race begins and join our team to run the Adrenaline Virtual Night Run any time between MAY 17-23. This allows runners and families flexibility to run when it is most convenient for them. We will share runner posts and stories on our main social media pages throughout the week!

Social networking FTW! When you complete your run, email us your GPS track or photo of your stats. We'll post your result online and send you all the virtual hugs, high-fives and kudos that go along with crossing that finish line!

We'll repost your stories and let others applaud your efforts too! Runners will have until MAY 23RD at 11:59 p.m. Arizona Time to submit their results on the Ultra Signup Event Page.

Make It A Double
If you're looking for some extra miles this summer, take advantage of our summer double down "Run & Ride." Runners have an option to add a three hour or six hour bike ride to their insomniac adventure upon registration! It's a chance for some extra bling and an opportunity to shake up your summer routine. Simply add the "Double Down" add-on item to your cart during registration and we will enter you in the Ride event of your choosing.

THE ADRENALINE DAWN BREAKER 106K CHALLENGE: For the endurance fanatics who claim they can go all night long, we issue you a challenge that will crown you a true insomniac and earn you the Adrenaline Dawn Breaker Coaster. Run each distance throughout the week (one per night) or combine all distances to run 106K in one night! Opt in to the Grand Finale during registration you can even finish your Adrenaline Dawn Breaker by running the 50K as part of the in-person event! Will you take the challenge?
A Series Possessed
For runners who want to tackle an ULTRA summer, we've designed a Dawn Breaker Series challenge that inspires the truly run possessed! Register for the Possessed Pass on our Insomniac Event Page below and commit to all distances, in all six races, and earn all six coasters for a total of 731K's of summer (that's 453 miles in five months)! The Possessed Pass includes a personalized Possessed Coaster Display to showcase your insanity. All awards are designed and crafted by Aravaipa Artworx. Test your level of sanity this summer--how far will you go?
Experience the Grand Finale
A new twist to the Insomniac Virtual Series in 2021 is the Grand Finale. When participants sign up for the Dawn Breaker at any of the Insomniac Virtual Events this year, they will have the option of completing there longest distance at the In-Person Insomniac event! If you live in the Southwest, and want to put a unique twist on your nocturnal journey, the Grand Finale is just for you! Complete all the Dawn Breaker distances during the race week and celebrate the weeks journey with an amazing night time stroll through the desert at our In-Person Insomniac Series Events! All participants in the Adrenaline Virtual Night Run will receive a custom finisher medal designed and created by our Aravaipa Artworx Team.

Runners have the option to purchase a premium finisher award that is larger and designed to be displayed on a shelf or table top, in addition to the base packet finisher medal.
PODIUM
The top three men and top three women in each distance will receive a special virtual podium badge to share on all their social accounts as well as shout out on our social channels.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
I'm doing the Dawn Breaker Challenge Run. Can I run this as a continuous run? Yes! You could either run each of the distances as their own "race" or combine them into one big run. With this Challenge, you may enter in results for each race distance if you complete them separately.
Dawnbreaker 100 Mile Ride: This challenge asks you to complete a 100 mile ride in one single effort. You may use this 100 mile ride to also complete your 3 hour ride and 6 hour ride (if applicable).
Podium Details: You are awarded one podium spot per race entry paid. In 2021, all podium finishers will receive a shout out on social media and a special virtual podium badge. If you place on the podium in multiple distances but are eligible for one award, you will be awarded to the highest placing first (if you finish 2nd & 3rd, we will place you in 2nd for that distance) and if those are the same, it will go to the longest race distance completed.
If you are doing the Dawn Breaker Challenge, you may enter in results for any of the five race distances that you complete in 1 run plus the Dawn Breaker 106K. However, the rule remains that you may only win a podium award(social shout out + virtual badge) in one distance per entry.
Do I have to run at night? What if I can't or I don't feel comfortable running after dark? While we encourage all participants to venture out and experience the magic of running at night, you are not required to run a night. If you want to run a short 5K during sunset, great! If you can beat the heat with a pre-dawn run, awesome! However, you are not required to only run at night. Please run safe and at a comfort level that is best for you.
What is the "Double Down"?The Double Down option is for those of us who both love to run and to ride. Over the course of the event, runners will have to complete both their running event distance, and either a 3H or 6H ride in order to "Double Down". Add the "Double Down" to your cart at registration and we will get you entered into the Ride of your choosing.
I'm ready to upload my results. Help! When you have finished your run or ride, head to the Event Page on Ultra Signup to submit your results. You can submit your results in 2 ways- you can manually enter your run (time, distance, etc.) or you can download your .GPX file from your GPS tracker (watch or app) and upload it to the Ultra Signup dashboard. For those completing the Dawn Breaker Challenge: Please submit individual runs in each event that you complete in 1 run. In addition, please submit 1 activity in the Dawn Breaker Event that is the total elapsed time from all of your runs to achieve the 106K Dawn Breaker achievement.
Can I complete my run in stages? All runners must complete their selected distance in one continuous run. The Dawn Breaker Challenge being the one exception.
