Bobcat Trail Race was created to feature one of Colorado Spring’s best city parks, Palmer Park. Runners will enjoy views of the city and Pikes Peak from the rocky bluffs. Come out and enjoy this amazing trail system, right in the heart of the city! Formerly a Mad Moose Event & graciously passed on to Aravaipa Running starting in 2024.

This scenic event offers a unique opportunity to explore the hidden gems of this urban oasis. Wind through lush forests, climb rocky outcrops, and soak in breathtaking views as you navigate the park's diverse trails. Whether you're a seasoned runner or a beginner, this 5K is perfect for those seeking a fun and challenging experience.

Bobcat Trailer Race Video

The race courses will be well-marked using orange ribbon with black polka dots. Trail junctions and turns are marked with laminated signs that correspond with your race distance. Please pay attention to these signs at each junction as there are multiple race distances and race courses! If you get off course, you’ll see blue & white checkerboard ribbon to designate non-race or “WRONG WAY” trails. Runners are responsible for understanding their course layout. Please familiarize yourself with the course maps on our website prior to race day and/or print a map to bring along with you. Better yet–download the gpx from our CalTopo links and load them to your favorite mapping app on your smartphone!

Reusable Cup
Be sure to have your reusable cup handy at aid stations! Reusable cups are small, are no problem to carry along while running and will save thousands of paper cups from being used, trashed, and possibly blown away littering our beautiful trail. Aravaipa Usable Cups are available in the Bobcat UltraSignup Store

Course GPX File
Please have an offline course map downloaded on a personal device. The course will be clearly marked but you as the runner are ultimately responsible for your navigation. Course maps can be found on the Bobcat website.
