The Harding Hustle offers a unique adventure through Orange County's Santa Ana Mountains. Featuring 50K, 30K, and 15K distances, these challenging yet rewarding courses take place on the Harding Truck Trail, offering breathtaking views, steep climbs, and exhilarating descents.

With well-supported aid stations and a welcoming trail running community, this race is perfect for both seasoned ultra runners and trail enthusiasts looking for their next adventure. Whether you're aiming to test your limits or soak in the natural beauty, the Harding Hustle promises an unforgettable experience.

**Due to the 2024 Airport Fire, the Cleveland National Forest is currently closed. We are aiming for a primary race date of July 19, 2025, but have also selected a backup date of November 8 which is outside the current forest closure window. We expect a decision in the Spring once the winter rains have come and gone and an assessment can be made. All registered runners will auto defer to the backup date or be issued a 100% Aravaipa Race Credit if the primary date is not feasible**

Directions to Shuttle Pickup/DropOff:

Shuttle location is located in Blackstar Canyon off Santiago Canyon Road. You may get to Santiago Canyon Road via Foothill Ranch or Irvine, etc.

From North/Irvine:
241 South or 261 North to exit 33 toward Santiago Cyn/Chapman Ave
From 261 - right on Santiago Canyon Road.
From 241 - left on Santiago Canyon Road.
From 261 - 5.4 miles - turn left on Silverado Canyon road then immediate left on Blackstar Canyon Road.
Stop/parking will be about .75 miles down the road.

From South:
El Toro Road North through Lake Forest/Foothill Ranch
El Toro Road becomes Santiago Canyon Road
5.8 miles past Cooks Corner, turn right on Santiago Canyon Road then immediate left on Blackstar Canyon Road.
Stop/parking will be about .75 miles down the road.

Weather in the Santa Ana Mountains most often produces hot and dry conditions in July. Average high appears to be mild at 79 degrees but in all the years of doing Harding Hustle, the temp has generally ranged in the 90-100 range by early afternoon. This race is designed as a hot weather race. Please come prepared to run in the heat - especially if you are doing the 50k

Depending on projected temperatures, we may require a minimum amount of water per person. We highly recommend having capacity for at least 1 liter of water in between aid stations.
